From Covid-19 to wildfires we are here for you!
We are open to limited dining indoors and outside full capacity, and we offer to-go food. We are happy to be a 5 Star Level Up certified by Larimer County allowing us to operate a level above the current level.

2020 was quite a challenging year for all of us!
Thank you so much for supporting local businesses and keeping Bird & Jim alive! We were able to serve tens of thousands of people safely during COVID-19! Like everyone else, we had no idea what to expect but with overseas travel being limited and people needing a change of scenery our town was blessed with many visitors that kept businesses alive!
From tents to heaters we did what we could to survive and we will continue to do so as we navigate and get through this pandemic providing customers a safe place to dine and employees a safe work environment.

Our philosophy of sourcing quality sustainable food carries over to wine--small farmers, organic, sustainable, biodynamic, are just as important to our wine selection as to our ingredients. Our sommelier is personally selecting wine for our extensive wine list and to pair with our food offerings.
The bar team at Bird & Jim is excited to bring you handcrafted cocktails using fresh ingredients. Our cocktails are thoughtfully concocted by our expert team resulting in unique libations. Our team is driven by an innate sense of hospitality with a passion for creating a memorable experience. Join us in a newly renovated, beautifully designed bar near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
At Bird & Jim, we are defining Colorado cuisine with our ever-evolving seasonal and ingredient-driven menus sourced from the Front Range of Colorado and beyond. Our menus are influenced by our artisan approach to cooking and the ardent nature of our farmers from which we source. Our philosophy revolves around local, sustainable, and healthy eating. To provide this experience whenever possible we proudly source from local farms and ranchers from Estes Park, Drake, Longmont, Hygiene, and Boulder Colorado.

Who are we?
Birds of a Feather Flock Together. In September 2016 seeking a place to spread her wings and start her own restaurant, Melissa Strong was introduced to the new owner of Alpine Trail Ridge Inn and the Sundeck restaurant. After rezoning and subdividing they were able to start creating the space for Bird & Jim. Friends for years Melissa and John Witmer talked about a chance like this. After a few meetings and a lot of perseverance Bird & Jim came to be.
