Events
Commitment to the community is a crucial priority at Bird & Jim. We are bringing people on a new culinary experience with every visit, educating people about what they are eating, bringing nutrition education to local schools and parents, creating a full calendar of community events including community dinners, pairing dinners, festive events, supporting local nonprofits, and offering classes. Bird & Jim is uniting our community through food, fun, and knowledge.
Who are we?
Birds of a Feather Flock Together. In September 2016 seeking a place to spread her wings and start her own restaurant, Melissa Strong was introduced to the new owner of Alpine Trail Ridge Inn and the Sundeck restaurant. After rezoning and subdividing Strong and company were able to start creating the space for Bird & Jim. Friends for years Melissa and John Witmer talked about a chance like this. After a few meetings, beverages and bringing Chef Ethan Brown in the mix Bird & Jim came to be.
Drink
Our philosophy of sourcing quality sustainable food carries over to wine--small farmers, organic, sustainable, biodynamic, are just as important to our wine selection as to our ingredients. Our sommelier is personally selecting wine for our extensive wine list and to pair with our food offerings.
The bar team at Bird & Jim is excited to bring you handcrafted cocktails using fresh ingredients. Our cocktails are thoughtfully concocted by our expert team resulting in unique thoughtful libations. Our bar team has years of experience and is driven by an innate sense of hospitality with a passion for creating a memorable experience. Join us in a newly renovated, beautifully designed bar near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Catering
Let Bird & Jim bring our fresh, seasonal, quality food to your table, making your special event outstanding. We offer several different catering options. If possible we are happy to host your dinners at Bird & Jim. If our available times and space constraints do not work for you--Bird & Jim can come to you.
Food
At Bird & Jim, we are defining Colorado cuisine with our ever-evolving seasonal and ingredient-driven menus sourced from the Front Range of Colorado and beyond. Our menus are influenced by our artisan approach to cooking, the ardent nature of our neighbors, and the farms from which we source. Chef Ethan’s cooking philosophy revolves around local, sustainable and healthy eating. To provide this experience whenever possible the Chef and team proudly source from local farms and ranchers from Estes Park, Drake, Longmont, Hygiene and Boulder Colorado.
