About the event
Dear Customers,
Thank you for your support Bird & Jim during the COVID-19 pandemic by buying gift cards, donating funds to our staff go fund me, and for supporting our takeout and delivery program. We are very excited to be open our doors to limited dine-in service May 25th! We are taking every preventative measure to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect our employees and customers. We are following every guideline recommended by our health department, governor, and CDC, and we have implemented some of our own.
We are working with McClain Built to waterproof our outside patio and bring heat to the area. We are also working on a variance request with the health, planning, and liquor departments to provide seating underneath a tent with a bar in our east parking lot.
Until times change, we will only be using the West entrance of our building as an entrance, a.k.a. the mountainside, next to Alpine Trail Ridge Inn.
As you can imagine, dine-in service will look a little different. As usual, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff; however, we will be masked, and according to our county’s regulations, you will be masked. We ask that you come in wearing a mask and you wear your mask until you are situated at your table. Once you are settled in, you can remove the mask. We will be offering you a plastic baggie to put your mask in if you’d like. Whenever you get up and leave the table, including trips to the bathroom, the government and therefore Bird & Jim is requiring you to put your mask back on.
We have hand sanitizer when you enter the restaurant and throughout the building. We have signs reminding you of the requirements. We have a waiver that states you have not been exposed and do not have symptoms, and we have not been exposed and do not have symptoms. The form asks for you to write your address and phone number in case we need to contact you.
Your servers will be wearing masks and gloves when delivering food and beverages and or clearing. We are health screening our employees daily. We will still provide the same great hospitality and service; however, we will be limiting time at the table.
All tables are 8 feet apart from each other. Windows, doors, and garage doors will be open to provide good airflow so please bring a sweater or jacket. We will have an employee with the sole purpose of sanitizing including the bathrooms every 15-30 minutes and sanitizing all commonly touched surfaces.
Sorry, no hugs for now, but we will be so happy to welcome you back!
