Brett Zimmerman is a local Coloradan.  He attended the University of Colorado where he studied business administration.  After graduating he combined his passions--business and food and wine becoming a sommelier at Charlie Trotters in Chicago and after at Aqua in San Francisco.  He returned to Colorado and opened up Mateo's in Boulder.  After three years of ownership he decided to focus on fine wines taking a position at Southern Fine Wine & Spirits.  In 2007 Brent successfully passed the Master Sommelier examination.  Now he owns Boulder Wine Merchant where he is able to combine his years of experience and customer offering amazing wines and unparalleled customer service.
